Leon Eyck 
Director
M.arch, AIA
 
Leon is the director and principal designer of DE atelier Architects.  Leon approaches every project with inspired energy, enthusiasm and a strong commercial attitude to development. Through the completion of Leon's Masters in Architecture he has honed his skills in the understanding of neighbourhood character, the built environment and its application in the planning and design of developments. Leon excels in the master planning and design of buildings in the alpine and eco-tourism markets.
 
Leon has over 13 years experience in the industry and includes projects ranging from hotels, restaurants, corporate and municipal fit-outs, education facilities, multi-unit developments and high end residential houses.
 
Andrew Cross
Project Architect & Universal Access Specialist
 
Andrew commenced with DE atelier Architects in June 2009, bringing to our practice expertise in disability-specific residential design and universal access. Andrew completed his architecture degree at Deakin University in 2006. 
 
Andrew is an Occupational Therapist with 25 years experience in a variety of sectors from the Acquired Brain Injury unit at the Epworth Hospital, to Community Rehabiliation Services, and Aged Care. Andrew's unique educational background and his first hand experience provides him with the skills set to clearly understand the complexity and variety of client needs, and to provide sensitive and practical design solutions in the modification of residential housing. Andrew has delivered a variety of access and design services to the health and community sector within Geelong and Western Victoria. 
 

 

 
 
Briony Darcy

Briony has been a principal of DE atelier Architects since its inception. Briony takes a key role in the administration of the practice and ongoing resourcing, education and mentoring of the staff.
 
Briony brings to the practice a 'can do' approach and commitment to getting the best design solutions for her clients whilst maintaining a firm eye on their economical restraints. Briony has a passion for environmentally sustainable design and always implements the passive design elements where practical for her clients. In over 13 professional years experience Briony has designed and documented projects from hotels, aged care facilities, commercial, industrial and residential developments.
 
Kerrie Davies
Building & Interior Designer
 
 
Kerrie joined DE atelier Architects in January 2010 and brings with her skills in both building and interior design. Kerrie in her pursuit for further education completed back to back Diplomas in building design and interior design at the Gordan Institute of Tafe, Geelong. Kerrie brings with her commitment, enthusiasm, and attention to detail of the nuts and bolts of architecture. She is a welcome addition to our design and documentation team. 
 
Prior to following her passion in design Kerrie worked for 12 years in Social Work, Specifically with youth with drug, alcohol and housing issues. An understanding of complex, client needs and Kerrie's skills in communication and conciliation are a valued addition to her building design and interior design training.
