Asbury House involves the alteration and extension of an existing coastal dwelling to better support contemporary family living while responding to its established suburban context. The design reworks the internal planning to improve spatial flow, functionality, and connection to outdoor areas, while retaining the scale and character of the original home.

New living spaces are arranged to maximise natural light and outlook, with a strong emphasis on indoor‑outdoor connection suited to the coastal environment. The extension introduces a clear architectural language that is distinct yet complementary to the existing house, using considered proportions and detailing to ensure a cohesive overall form.

Private living areas are carefully separated from shared family spaces, providing flexibility and comfort across the home. The project demonstrates a thoughtful balance between reuse and new intervention, delivering a well‑resolved residential outcome that enhances amenity while remaining responsive to its Ocean Grove setting.
