Connewarre
Residential
Connewarre House involves the design of a new dwelling within a rural landscape setting, responding to the openness, scale, and environmental qualities of the surrounding farmland. The design is informed by the site’s expansive outlooks, orientation, and natural features, with the aim of achieving a low‑impact and site‑responsive outcome.
The dwelling is planned to support contemporary family living while maintaining a strong connection to the landscape. Living spaces are oriented to maximise natural light, views, and passive solar performance, with direct relationships to sheltered outdoor areas. The built form is broken into legible elements to reduce visual bulk and sit comfortably within the rural context.
Material selection and detailing draw from agricultural and coastal precedents, favouring robust, durable finishes suited to the exposed setting. The project demonstrates a considered balance between rural character and modern residential amenity.
