Highton Hideaway

Highton

Residential

Highton Hideaway involved the alteration and extension of an existing mid‑century family home set within a large, established residential allotment. DE atelier Architects were engaged to provide architectural design, detailed documentation and construction‑phase services to support the transformation of the dwelling for contemporary family living.

The works focused on improving spatial functionality, internal amenity and the relationship between indoor living areas and the surrounding landscape. New and reconfigured spaces were carefully integrated with the existing structure, balancing the retention of the home’s original character with the introduction of contemporary materials and detailing. Targeted upgrades included internal re‑planning, improved ventilation, new door systems and sub‑floor remedial works, supported by close coordination with consultants and builder throughout construction.

The project was delivered through a staged construction process, with ongoing architectural involvement ensuring design intent, build quality and responsiveness to site conditions were maintained through to completion.
